Abu Hurairah that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "The life-span of those in my ummah is 60 to 70 years. And a very few of them will exceed this span."
(reported from Tirmizhi)
Having lived for 23 years, it could be said that i've reached 1/3 of (my) expected life.
Pretty scary - especially considering all the time that i've wasted on trivial matter.
What have i achieved so far?
Have i met all the expectations?
Am i prepared for for the next 2/3 of what is there to come?
These are some of the important questions in life that started to haunt you in your dreams.
However there are even more important questions than those mentioned.
What will become of the world tomorrow?
Who will be the leaders in time yet to come?
Thinking only of my 'own' future is being selfish.
Someday... (and surely) one day, that burden will surely fall on our shoulders. Only then we cringed and abase oneself, trying to run away.
As quoted from a Dr MAZA
"The actors in the stage of history come and go, but their role is (suprisingly) the same"
In acting there will always people who will take the 'protagonist' role.
Poles aside, there will be those of 'antagonist'.
I now aware that, there isn't much choice left.
For the fact is, the baton is on its way to be passed down, from one generation to another.
To continue the mission here on earth..
...as muslim..
khalifah..
and servant of Allah.
Not willing to accept it means the race stop there - leaving the 'antagonist' taking the lead.
Only two sides to choose.
There are no place for spectators here in this world.
Everyone is involved.
The question is..
Will i ever be ready?
Will us all be ready?
