I was craving for Dutch Lady Choclate drink after a ‘hot’ dish of chicken
soup.. undeniably Dutch Lady Choc is one of the best choc drink that i’ve ever tasted (my fav of course)...
As i sip the brown liquid down my throat suddenly it p
ops to my mind; "Aren’t there any muslim product, that are as good?.. in terms of its quality... the presentation..”(some products are good by the quality but the outer impression/pack design leaves the consumer in much doubt. As the saying goes, don’t judage a book by its cover.)
Actually i was thinking of any local born drinks that could match beverage icon such as Dutch Lady, Nestle e.t.c.. couldn’t think any... . then suddenly i remember one, al-Marai.. when i was in Saudi Arabia for Umrah for Medical Student program.
I remember the fruit juices are thick, natural taste, and cheap!
(i like strawberry, guava flavor). The layered fruit yogurt puding is also nice, one of its own kind (i’ve never found one in Malaysia).
Another nice dessert is BonSweet Crème Caramel. Again you don't find it in Malaysia.
My point is...
In Malaysia we could see in almost every shop, 7 E, they are selling ‘non-muslim’ products. Why can’t Malaysia help and promote Islamic product? I thought Malaysia is one of the leading example of Developing Islamic country. Why can't we import these great products to Malaysia?
Is is the quality we are talking about? The coffee and chocolate drink I would say comparable to Dutch Lady n Nestle products. In terms of the taste and presentation they are in par with those of other ‘western’ product.
Hmm.....
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is nearer to Malaysia than Europe and America ...and yet we are importing 'western' products?
